Success Award Grant
Grant application opens: Spring 2025
We’re excited to announce that Philomath will be accepting applications soon for our Success Award! This grant provides financial assistance to individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCIs) to help them:
- Return to work or advance in their current role
- Obtain necessary licenses, products, or equipment to start a business
- Increase their workplace success and overall productivity
Our goal is to empower those affected by paralyzing accidents to become thriving, productive members of the community.
🔹 How to Apply: Submit your application along with a detailed budget explaining how the funds will support your employment, career advancement, or entrepreneurial goals.
🔹 Award Amount: Up to $1,000

Our goal is to empower individuals to rejoin the workforce and contribute to their community following a paralyzing accident. We encourage applicants to explain how this grant can help them overcome barriers to employment or entrepreneurship.
Examples to consider:
• If you had a job before your accident, how will this funding help you return to work? What challenges are you facing, and how will the grant address them?
• If you're starting a business, what's your plan? How soon do you expect to begin earning income and generating revenue?
• If you're seeking employment, what kind of job are you pursuing? Share your background, education, and experience.
• If you're already employed, how will this award help you achieve greater success in your role?
• How will this grant help you reach your career goals and secure gainful employment?
Applicant Qualifications:
Must be a person with a spinal cord injury.
Must reside in California and be 18 years of age or older
Must provide proof of income and demonstrate financial need.
Must agree to participate in and consent to the use of their likeness in Philomath’s communications and promotions related to the Success Award.
